Bio

M. Bardett Fausett, MD, MFM and Annalee Fausett

Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist, President & Medical Director, Origin Health LLC

Dr. Fausett is a Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist with years of military medical leadership experience.

He attended undergraduate school at Brigham Young University and medical school at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. His OB/GYN residence training was at Wilford Hall Medical Center and Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship at the University of Utah Health Sciences Center.

On Active Duty he served as Department Chairman at several military hospitals and chaired several DoD committees as the Consultant to the AF Surgeon General. He established the obstetric quality forum that now serves as the model for quality improvement collaboratives throughout the DoD. He led the development/publication of the DoD/VA Pregnancy Guidelines. He authored/co-authored numerous DoD training aids for patients and providers including the website, the mobile App My Pregnancy A to Z Journal, and Your Pregnancy and You Guidebook. The latter has been used by over two million pregnant women in the DoD.He has published multiple peer reviewed articles in scientific journals. Col Fausett retired from active duty service in 2014.

Annalee Fausett, Dr Fausett’s wife, plays an integral part in the day-to-day work at Origin Health. She’s the glue of Origin Health! She is first and foremost Dr. Fausett’s biggest support.

As practice administrator, Annalee oversees the daily workings of the Origin Health offices around the state. Annalee travels with Dr. Fausett when he does outreach in various location and assists in clinical and administrative duties. Her role plays a huge part in the nurturing work that takes place at Origin Health.

Keith D. Balderston, MD, MFM

KEITH D. BALDERSTON, MD, MFM

Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist

Dr. Keith Balderston completed his fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of California at Irvine, and his obstetrics and gynecology residency at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland. He earned his medical degree at OHSU as well, and his Bachelor of Science degree in biology cum laude from the University of Oregon. A three-time PAC-10 All-Academic Basketball Team Member, Dr. Balderston still ranks high in all-time stats at the U of O. He is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Dr. Balderston has extensive experience with patients with cervical insufficiency and pregnancy loss. He is an expert in vaginal and transabdominal cerclage placement.

Dr. Balderston, part of the Origin Health team, will cover for Dr. Fausett from time to time, as well as assist in reading ultrasounds and taking call. He continues to work with the Center for Genetics and Maternal Fetal Medicine, in Oregon.

LEAH MILLER, MD, OB/GYN

Obstetrician & Gynecologist, Trails OBGYN & Minimally Invasive Surgery

Leah A. Miller, MD MPH FACOG, skilled board certified OBGYN, brings a lot of energy, expertise, experience, compassion, and 13 years experience to Trails OBGYN and Minimally Invasive Surgery. After earning her MD at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Dr. Miller did her OBGYN residency at University of Texas, Southwestern, in Austin.

Dr. Miller, a Global Health and Human Rights Fellow with Massachusetts General / Harvard Medical School, also completed her Masters of Public Health during her Fellowship.

Before coming to Trails OBGYN, Dr. Miller was employed at  Community Medical Center as a general OBGYN. She was employed as faculty for the Family Medicine Residency Program through the University of Washington prior to that.

Adding to Dr. Miller’s health care knowledge are many global health experiences: starting a medical residency program in Kenya, providing care in the rural areas in the Peru Andes, training in obstetric safety and prevention of obstetrical trauma in the UK, and working in children’s homes and with sex trafficking victims in Nepal.

Dr. Leah Miller has the knowledge, training, and experience to treat an enormous range of OBGYN conditions. Up to date on the most advanced minimally invasive surgical procedures, she belongs to multiple professional surgical societies, including AAGL and SGS, where she is able to collaborate with other surgeons and participate in continuing education throughout the year. Dr. Miller offers da Vinci Robotic-Assisted surgery.

She also is a member of the International Pelvic Pain Society and the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health and has completed training with them. Dr. Miller is the only provider in Montana that has this designation.

Her personal vision is to compassionately provide care for each individual as they navigate their own life’s trail.

Maria Huntley, MD, OB/GYN, Origin Health LLC.

Maria Huntley, MD, OB/GYN

Obstetrician and Gynecologist, Origin Health Maternal Fetal Care

Dr. Huntley was raised in Anaconda (where her parents still live) and went to college at Montana State University. She attended medical school in South Dakota, completed her residency at Michigan State, then returned to Montana. Dr. Huntley practiced as an OB/GYN for the past 20 years in Helena.

Dr. Huntley has two lovely daughters, Katie, who works in Helena, and Reese, a sophomore at the University of Montana.

Dr. Huntley is a die-hard sports fan — Go Bobcats! Go Michigan State Spartans! Go Packers!

She’s had much valuable experience in women’s healthcare and especially loves caring for expectant moms and delivering babies. Dr. Maria Huntley is an amazing person! She’s a pleasant, down-to-earth, kind individual, and a huge asset to Origin Health and our patients.

Cassie Bronson, DNP, WHNP-BC

Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, Origin Health Maternal Fetal Care

Cassie grew up in Alaska where she started volunteering in a local pediatric unit at 16-years of age and has been in healthcare ever since.

She graduated from Lewis-Clark State College in 2005. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Georgetown University in 2022.

Cassie moved to Missoula in 2019 with her husband, two school-aged children, two cats, and a labradoodle. In her downtime, Cassie enjoys reading, camping, and running.

After 17 years of nursing experience, including over 5 years in the U.S. Navy, Cassie is excited to join Origin Health as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.

Jennifer Christopherson

Practice Manager, Origin Health LLC

Jennifer Christopherson brings over 32 years of experience in the healthcare field to Origin Health. Working in a variety of roles, Jennifer began her journey as a receptionist, and over the course of those years worked her way up the organization to serve in several leadership roles, including overseeing operations for a large multi-specialty provider group at Community Medical Center.

Jennifer was born in Missoula and moved to the Bitterroot Valley where she and her husband, Rod, raised three children: Alisa, Wyatt and Halle.

She has two grandchildren, Kya and Trey. They also have their four-legged family members, Dixie, the Berne doodle, and Ellie the cat.

Jennifer’s hobbies include reading, hiking, boating, traveling, camping and most of all spending time making memories with family and friends.
